In 2020, we brought together the cycling community for the #WeRide for Women fundraiser and virtual ride. Nearly 100 world-class professional cyclists joined over 600 fans on Zwift to ride together in support of the women’s professional peloton. This fund was set up to financially support the teams who would have attended the Colorado Classic. It was directly and equally distributed to the women’s race teams in the fall of 2020.

Moving into 2022, we are seeking the right partner to relaunch our event. We believe we can create something that makes a real and lasting impact on women’s cycling. The Colorado Classic is a game-changer, and without this event, the opportunities for female cyclists, both current and upcoming, are significantly reduced. Together we can make a difference and together we can create opportunities that catapult women’s cycling to the next level.

The Movement

The Colorado Classic is more than a race, it is a movement focused on providing opportunities for women in sports. We have built a platform that empowers female athletes and has begun to re-imagine the sport of cycling. Our focus remains on the athlete first and then the surrounding movement of women's empowerment, opportunity, and equity. We continue engaging in meaningful conversations with our community and partners about the intersection of women in sport and women in business.

The Colorado Classic is currently hard at work to secure committed partners to continue building upon the movement we have started. Stay tuned for more to come.
